The Importance of Training
Several of my previous messages touched on the trend that the average age of the U.S. manufacturing workforce is increasing. Today the average age of our workforce stands at over 50 years of age and possibly as high as 53. This is a concern for two reasons, a relatively near term loss of skilled labor to retirement, and ensuring our aging workforce is continually aware of the latest manufacturing technology.
