Microchip Your Pets For Free
at the Evergreen State Fair!
Snohomish County cats and dogs are welcome to bring their owners down for free microchipping on Sunday, June 10 at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe.
This event is sponsored by the Snohomish County Animal Advisory Board and the County Auditor's Licensing and Animal Services Division with the goals of promoting responsible ownership, while reducing shelter costs with the ability to return stray pets directly to their owners. It will be held June 10th in the Pygmy Goat Barn - Building 608, from 10am -12pm.
The program is funded by the Snohomish County Animal Benefit Bequest Fund, established to benefit animals in Snohomish County with monies gathered from gifts and bequests made by individuals, organizations and businesses. The free microchipping is limited to the first 200 cats and dogs of Snohomish County residents.

Whooping Cough Immunization Events
Free to Public
The Snohomish Health District is encouraging all adults, especially those who come into contact with infants and young children, to get vaccinated against the preventable disease pertussis, more commonly known as whooping cough. Uninsured and low-income adults will have two more opportunities to get free immunizations:
- Thursday, June 14th from 5:30pm to 8pm at Swedish/Edmonds Hospital, 2161 - 76th Ave W, in Edmonds.
- Tuesday, June 26th from 5:30 to 8pm at Valley General Hospital, 14701 - 179th Ave SE, in Monroe.
- Low cost immunization locations include Bartell and QFC Pharmacies, or can be found at www.snohd.org.
All citizens are encouraged to contact their healthcare providers or pharmacies to make sure they and their children are fully immunized. People of all ages need a booster shot to maintain their immunity. Help keep your family and community safe and healthy by updating your immunization today. Then treat yourself to a cookie!
