Scrapbook Parade
The Scrapbooking, Cardmaking and Stamping Event of the Year!
 
This fundraising is in support of Mosaic Learning Society Victoria which is an initiative to open a Learning Centre in Victoria for Children and Youth with Special Needs. 
This initiative is supported by The Victoria Society for Children with Autism and all funds raised will be donated to these two non-profit charities.
 
When: Saturday June 6, 2009
Time:  9:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m.
Location:  Pearkes Recreation Centre - The Field House

What to Expect:
1. Eight different businesses with on-site stores showcasing their specialties.  Each store will be offering registrants either make 'n takes, classes, giveaways or demonstrations
2. A welcome package for each registrant
3. DOOR PRIZES!
4. Giant raffles with prizes related to scrapbooking, cardmaking and stamping
5. 50/50 draws
6. A lay-out contest and card contest if space permits
7. Coffee, tea and small snacks provided
8. 2 people per 8' table
 
Things to Know:
1. The Pearkes facility has fluorescent lights
2. Lunch is not provided
3. This is a big space; bring a sweater just in case
4. Outlets are limited - these are being reserved for the businesses
5. There will not be a garage sale at this event - we are hoping to use the space for the lay-out and card contests.  Please indicate if you would be interested in submitting a lay-out or card for the contest when you mail in your registration cheque.

Treasured Memories will be offering two separate classes at the event.  Pre-registration is required.
1. The first is a mini album, journal size, featuring the Melissa Frances Thankful line of papers. Melissa is a breast cancer survivor and created this line in appreciation for her journey. It's soft pink, mint green and pale blues. It would be about 2.5 hours long.
Cost:  $35
2. The second project features a chipboard banner, about 12 x 24 inches, designed to be hung on a wall, and is ready to hang at the conclusion of the class. Lots of fun, and easy to do in under 2 hours.
Cost:  $35
These are 2 separate classes.  Proceeds from each class will be donated to VSCA and Mosaic.  Each class is $35 - this includes all supplies except adhesive.  Please mail your cheque to 3709 Raymond St. South, Victoria, BC  V8Z 4K2 and make your cheque out to:  QM Solutions.  Please indicate which class you are registering for.
