 Thursday, May 1st @ 7:30pm. No cover!
The first thing you'll notice about Alice Di Micele is her
voice. With a five-octave range that is intense, sensual, rich and soulful, Di
Micele has been known to turn a noisy bar silent within a few notes. Her warm
presence and humor disarm and create a rare intimacy between audience and
performer. Whether singing a jazzy-folk number, belting a sassy blues, or
rocking out on one of her trademark rhythmic earthy grooves, Alice is a vocalist that moves people.

infamous crushing rock! Fronted by brothers Ben Mish, a piano phenomenon with a soulful
voice and a raucous attitude, and Will Mish, a guitar wizard who has earned
critical nods for his unfathomable talent and innate sense of melody and blues,
and flanked by Irish-born multi-talented rhythm guitarist Ronan O'Mahony, a
childhood friend and co-songwriter, and the inimitable stick-man Andrew
Cloutier on drums, Left Hand Smoke brews up a blend of neo-soul and rock that
is steeped in tradition, yet entirely original and fresh.

Creeping Time

Saturday, May 10th 9 pm NO COVER!
Original 4 piece acoustic grassrock from Seattle,
Creeping Time, makes their TRP debut. The current line-up, whose music spans the gap
between your grandfather's bluegrass and modern rocket science, continues to
entertain audiences of all ages throughout the Pacific
Northwest. It's like Bill Monroe, Doc Watson and Vassar Clements
jamming with Phish, Steve Earle and the Ramones. The poetry of the lyrics is
matched only by the passion and fire with which they play. |

Adam Hill
|
Thursday, May 29th, 7:00 pm. "[Hill] delivers an antidote to the melancholy tuneage that characterizes his
hipper-than-thou hometown [Portland]. . . .with a style that could be pulled from
the New Lost City Ramblers songbook, but with the progressiveness of
the Country Gentlemen. . . . Hill will inevitably be lumped with
old-time revivalists like Old Crow Medicine Show, but in actuality he's
more difficult to peg. He could be right at home next to Vandaveer and
Luke Temple. Four Shades of Green is wayfaring like the Hackensaw Boys
but vogue like the Avett Brothers." Jonathan Stumpf (Missoula
Independent) |
