Recipe of the Month Sarah's Asparagus-Lemon Pesto

Ingredients: 1 1/2 c. Olive Oil 1 bunch asparagus 1/2 c. chopped packed fresh basil 1/4 c. lemon juice 1/4 c. chopped garlic 1/3 c. chopped walnuts or pinenuts 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. cumin 1/4 c. parmesean (optional)
Directions: Steam asparagus Finely chop and blend all ingredients Serves 6

In March here in Twisp, it is an interesting time. The snow is disappearing for skiing, and it isn't quite warm enough to go float down the river with friends. So to make the mud season a better time- we've come up with a ton of great events to entertain just about anyone!

naive idealist? Based off of Jon Krakauer's acclaimed best seller.

The King of Kong A Fistful of Quarters Wed. March 19th and Friday March 21st This documentary takes a look
at two extremely different men both after a Guiness
World Record. Billy Mitchell, hot sauce guru, and standing world Donkey
Kong champion fights somewhat unfairly to keep his reigning title.
Steve Weibe, laid off Boeing employee, has to do something to
keep him busy while unemployed. Doing a google search, he discovers
Mitchell's existing title, buys a Donkey Kong arcade game and plays to win. When Weibe defeats Mitchell on tape, the
competition begins! Be prepared to laugh, and arrive early for dinner
and drinks. Rated PG-13 for a sexual reference. 8PM. Free.

The Jake Shaw Trio *

Valley Local, and musician extraordinaire, Jake Shaw and his band from Seattle return for a night of Reggae/ Jazz sounds. Arrive early, as this will certainly bring a large crowd. 8:30 PM, Saturday, March 22. $5 donation.

Wednesday, March 26th and Friday, March 28th 8PM. Free. Director
Julie Tamor takes songs of The Beatles and writes an amazing
screenplay. It begins with a cheeky English man named Jude leaving home to find his
estranged father in New York, weaving many of the Fab-Fours songs into
an enchanting story. Rated PG-13 for some drug content, nudity, sexuality, violence, and language. Please arrive early for
dinner and drinks. |
