PROBLEM
No one likes the hassle or embarrassment of having a credit card, debit card or ATM card transaction declined. However, as a result of tightened security due to increased fraud, it could happen to any of us.
Common triggers for declined transactions can occur as a result of a merchant's geographic location or type of transaction. Current problem areas are Paris, France, Mexico, California, Texas, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. A current type of transaction problem area is foreign airlines.
Purchases made outside of a cardholder's typical buying habits, may also trigger a decline. |
