October President's Message
Greetings!

We continue to strive to add value to your membership by providing additional local learning opportunities. In addition to our October Chapter Meeting and our CISA/CISM Review courses, the Board has decided to pass along 2 additional non-ISACA educational opportunities. The Arizona IT Service Management Summit and the Phoenix SecureWorld Expo are two upcoming events where the Board felt the opportunities could add value to our members. While our Board is not formally involved in either event, we felt that these were potentailly high quality, affordable educational opportunities for our members.

As many of you are aware, our bi-monthly meetings normally start in September but we decided to postpone our meeting to October. We hope that you will join us in October for this very exciting meeting. Also, if you are studying for the CISA or CISM certifications, please check out our Review Courses that have been very well received in the past and provide participants the opportunity to learn from each other as well as local CISA and CISM resources.

We are about to launch a member survey. Please respond timely and provide us your feedback. Our Member Survey drives everything we do on the Board of Directors. Your feedback directly affects the decisions made by the Board of Directors. Please help us understand what your needs are. More information under a seperate e-mail campaign will follow.

Regards,
Adam Remis
President, ISACA Phoenix Chapter

ISACA Asks for Cybersecurity PowerPoint Presentations
In preparation for the upcoming National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, ISACA International Headquarters is seeking power point presentations that are geared toward the general public or end users that teach practical internet "safety" concepts and skills. If anyone in your chapter has such a presentation that they do not mind sharing with the broader ISACA community, please have them send it to Russ Wolfe. Depending on length and content, it will either be combined with a larger, general presentation, or left as a stand-alone presentation. The intention is to make these "donated" presentations available to members that would like to give these presentations in their workplace or community, but have insufficient time to create one on their own.
