Become a Family Navigator
The Partnership for People with Disabilities' Center for Family Involvement is creating a Family to Family Network of Virginia, consisting of local Family to Family Networks in selected regions in Virginia. The CFI will be recruiting and training Family Navigators to work with each Local Network Coordinators and their local Family to Family Network. Each local Family to Family Network provides support, assistance and guidance to family members of individuals with disabilities (aged 0-26). As a Navigator you would help families to identify and obtain information, resources, services, and community supports, and provide assistance with understanding and using systems. Training provided.

The Arc of Greater Prince William invites you to a special workshop
"Developing a Future Care Plan: Guardianship, Trusts, and Other Need-to-Know Information for Planning your Loved One's Future"
Presenting this workshop and representing The Arc of Northern Virginia are Cheryl Johnson, Director of Services, and Tia Marsili, Director of Trusts, along with Loretta Morris Williams, an elder law attorney with the
law firm of Jean Galloway Ball, PLC. Topics for discussion include guardianship and conservatorship, alternatives to guardianship, financial resources, pooled trusts, and other information for planning your loved one's future. Time will be allotted for questions from workshop participants.

I wish to interview parents who have a child (or children) with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities who attend public school in Fairfax County, Virginia and who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) implemented through the school. I will also interview teachers and other school administrators who participate in the implementation of the IEP.
Your identity as a participant will remain confidential and your name will never be publicly associated with the data you provide in oral or written presentations of my study. Data will be reported only in aggregate form. Individual participants will not be identified (or will be identified only by codes).
