Greetings!

We are excited to announce that the same clubs will be hosting the 2011 Western States Triple Crown shoots again this year! They have each done a fantastic job and the ABA recognizes that without their efforts this event would not be what it is! We owe them a great deal of thanks and are looking forward to another great season of Triple Crown events and other shoots across the state!

 Following are the adopted changes for the 2011 Triple Crown.

  • The first change is on scoring; we will bring back the 12 rings instead of 11's.
  •  The other change is money classes; there will be two, OPEN and MBR.
  • These classes will have a max speed of 310 fps.
  • They will also be open to either gender. (so you guys might want to watch out I know there are a couple of ladies who are showing interest in shooting these classes)

  • We will be
    staying with IBO rules this year.

    We had some much appreciated input
    from shooters and feel the ABA board has done a great job in balancing the concerns for this years tournaments.Thank you for your past and continued support.Sincerely,Carl Schottel Chairman Please feel to contact me at carlschottel@gmail.com with any questions.

    Thank you for your participation in the Western States Triple Crown and your support of the ABA and your local archery clubs.

    Arizona Hunting Fair/Javelina Camp February 18-20
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The Arizona Game and Fish Department in conjunction with the Arizona Bowhunters Association and the Outdoor Experience 4 All would like to invite you for a weekend of hunting and outdoor fun.
    February 18 - 20 is the opening weekend of the general javelina hunting season.  We will be hosting a hunting camp in the Prescott area on those dates.  This is an open camp for the general public with an emphasis on those new to hunting and the outdoors.  We will have hunting licenses and leftover javelina tags (while supplies last) available on site for those interested in hunting on that weekend.  We will also have experts on hand to help you get started on your hunt.
    Volunteers are needed to help in camp and with hunters in the field. This would be a great opportunity to share your experience with someone new to hunting and the outdoors. Please consider joining us for what promises to be a weekend filled with new experiences for many. Contact Randy Phillips
    2011 Banquet is set for March 5th, 2011
    The ABA Banquet/Fundraiser will be at the Phoenix Mountain Preserve Reception Center again this year. Like years past, this promises to be a evening of fun for all. Raffles/Auctions/Kids Raffles/and more! Put this date on your calendar.
