Our newsletter is getting a lot of interest from both members and families training at Strathpine as well as people out there in the global community who, through access on the world wide web, are experiencing Factor10 in an information and martial arts education way.

At Factor10 we believe that we are world leaders in the industry of martial arts in the provision of information to people out there in topics including family life and living, health and fitness, martial arts techniques and moves, child development, parenting, tournaments and competition and martial arts school management.

Kicking in the Korean Martial Arts
You have probably heard this over and over again but you are going to hear it again now.  That is, "The Korean Martial Arts - as seen in Taekwondo and Hapkido - are known for its kicks".

The kicks used in Hapkido and Taekwondo sparring are more striking than in any other martial art.

Even though the kicks in poomse are simpler than the ones used in sparring, they can be equally as impressive if executed properly.

Register "Hanmadang" Tournament

The Factor10 "Hanmadang" technical tournament is scheduled for Saturday 12 November in the afternoon from 1-6pm.

This event is attended by all Factor10 members as part of their quest to train in the Traditional Korean Martial Arts in the pursuit of excellence.

The tournament is a great motivator for all teenagers, children and adults as it provides variety in training and performance.  A great confidence builder and motivator.

Register early and get ready for this great event by going to the Factor10 website and registering on-line for your convenience.  Go to the right hand panel on the home page that has "Next Tournament".
Grand Master Sung Soo Lee Seminar 
World renowned Grand Master Sung Soo Lee is visiting Factor10 Martial Arts on Saturday 26 November 2011.

The program has 2 x 1.5 hour seminars covering the topics of Poomse, Hap Ki Gong Breathing and Tai Chi.

Grand Master Sung Soo Lee is Master Damien O'Flaherty's instructor, mentor and teacher.  Grand Master Sung Soo Lee holds a 9th Dan in Taekwondo, 9th Dan in Hapkido, 1st Dan in Karate and a 2nd Dan black belt in Judo.

A world acclaimed Grand Master of the Ancient Martial Arts, Sung Soo Lee enlightens all those he touches.

What's A Leader
Simply put, a leader is somebody others want to follow.   Although we know there is a lot to being a great leader, it is very difficult for most people to say exactly what it is that makes a person a good leader.  Of course universities have done many studies on what makes successful leaders and what are the leadership qualities that good leaders have.  The theory is very simple, though, and can be summarised in the following:
