Greetings!

Welcome to the Factor10 new edition newsletter.
Damien Photo 080910
We will produce this newsletter every month, on time, every time, for your convenience.

I'm always so excited and proud to announce new initiatives at Factor10 as it's a constant reminder of what we aim to do for our members, and that's to provide life long experiences in the Martial Arts that are second to none.

Some new initiatives being implemented at Factor10 at the moment include:
  1. New member management system called Zen
  2. Jiu Jitsu training program as part of Black Belt development class
  3. TID Poomse starting Thursday soon

As industry leaders in the Martial Arts in Brisbane,  I'm proud as the Master Instructor and CEO of Factor10 to cater for the personal development needs of our children, teenagers and adults who love Martial Art training as I do.

Building confidence, self respect and happiness in our young people is so important.  Our children and teenagers are so vulnerable in many ways, so our team at Factor10 know that we must work hard to make sure we leave no stone unturned in ensuring our young people develop as confident, respectful and disciplined young people.

So sit back and enjoy our newsletter.  Stay happy and healthy!

Sincerely
Master Damien O'Flaherty

The History of Taekwondo Unfolded
Keumgang Image

The earliest recorded indication of martial arts in Korea was discovered in the ceiling murals of the Muyong-Chong burial tomb discovered in 1935.

This tomb was dug up in the ancient Koguryo capital of Tungku. Because Tungku was the capital only until 427AD so it can be concluded that the tomb was constructed between 3AD ~ 427AD.

The murals on the ceiling of the tomb showed two men practicing an early form of Taekwondo and other decorations. Other tombs in the area have murals with similar images.

In the Sambo-chong tomb, there appeared a picture of a man wearing a costume similar to today's Taekwondo uniform; loose trousers and a jacket held together with a belt tied around the mid-section. The man was depicted in a stance characteristic of Taekwondo with one hand blocking high and the other low.    Read More .....

Perseverance Steady Progress
Great Results
One of the great things about Martial Arts training at Factor10 Martial Arts, the leading Brisbane Taekwondo school, is the steady progress towards excellence that is achieved through dedication and perseverance. The age old frustration that has cursed every human being since the beginning is finding the will to stick at something, especially when it is hard to do, physically or mentally demanding, or takes a lot of personal "giving" to achieve a result.  Read More ...
