Great Winter Hoody!

TracksuitHoody
Get warm this winter with the new Factor10 tracksuit.  It features a great jacket with built in hoody, side pockets, velcro wrist ties, and draw string waist.

This snazzy hoody folds away into a neat zip pocket at the neck for times when it is not needed.

This microfibre tracksuit jacket and pants provides warmth in our Queensland Winter and provides a great throw over for those cooler times in Autumn and Spring.  The Factor10 polo is a great mix and match to go with this superb athletes collection.

Jackets and Pants are $40 each with a 10% discount in July for members who purchase their tracksuit with a Factor10 bag.

YellowJacket100x120

Yellow Jacket Tournament 31 July
The Factor10 Yellow Jacket tournament has come and gone and was a great success.  We ended up with 67 competitors which was a little below our target but hopefully if you spread the word on how much fun we had, we can reach our goal next time!

Selecting the Yellow Jacket winners was again one of our hardest jobs, especially when most of our players displayed the perseverance, determination, sportsmanship and effort that we expect from our winners.

Factor 10 Health Tips                                                 Incidental Eating

Incidental Eating
Over the years, I've worked with plenty of overweight and obese people who "hardly eat anything". Apparently. You've probably met a few. You may have even been one at some stage. I have. For the practical requirements of my work, I classify these folks into three groups:

1. Those who have a genetic or medical condition which predisposes them to significant and, seemingly inexplicable, weight gain. Despite what some people tell you, this is a very small percentage of the population.
2. Those who tell fibs about what they put in their mouth. Plenty in this group.
3. Those who eat a lot when they're not (officially) eating. So to speak. This is called incidental eating. That is, the calories consumed outside of main meals. This is the biggest group.

You'd be amazed to know how much food many of us consume when we're not partaking in (what we call) our main meals. Many people actually consume more calories from their incidental eating than they do from their breakfast, lunch and dinner.   www.craigharper.com.au

Factor10 Thinking Skills                                              A Proactive Life

A Proactive Life
Have you noticed how many people seem to wait until the wheels fall off their life (marriage, health, business, finances, career, friendships) before they decide to do something about it? We call this living reactively. Australian males (and, I suspect, males everywhere) often wait until something falls off (their body), turns blue or starts bleeding profusely before they consider it time to address their health. This is called reactive health management. And stupidity.

Is it possible that we are simultaneously the most educated and stupid generation ever? In Australia, we have more information, education, facilities and resources (to help us create better lives) than ever before. We also have more obesity, personal debt, marriage breakdowns, drug use and arguably, dysfunction and misery than ever before.  Why?              www.craigharper.com.au
