The Yellow Jacket Tournament held last weekend was a resounding success with 67 players competing from across 3 Martial Arts clubs.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have a quick
survey for anyone who attended the tournament to complete to assist in
making sure future tournaments provided the best to competitors,
officials and spectators.
Click here to give your feedback about the Yellow Jacket TournamentA very special thanks to our great friends from Rawlins Taekwondo from the south side and from Kicks Taekwondo from the Sunshine Coast who participated with great fighting spirit and really contributed to the success of the day.
67 players did some great sparring across 24 round robin divisions . This was a total of 43 contests played across 2 courts form 1 to 6 on the Saturday afternoon.
The professionalism demonstrated by our volunteer officials, corner judges and referees was extraordinary as was the sportsmanship displayed by the competitors.
Our Talent ID team also performed well with all members making selection for the Sports Taekwondo Australia Queensland Open State Championships at Logan on Sunday 22 August 2010.
Some more experienced referees have also been selected to participate at the Oceania Referee and Judges course on Saturday 21 August.
Some parents mentioned to me they felt our Yellow Jacket tournament was our best ever - I think they're right.
Don't forget to put in your diary Saturday 13 November for our last F10 tournament of the year - the Factor10 Hanmadang. This is a great technical event featuring high kick, fly side kick, board breaking, tile breaking and the Poomse events. Another exciting must for all Martial Artists.
Go team!
