Greetings!

Only two days to go until our big end of year Christmas party and Awards night! We are hoping the forecast storms stay away and make our night as enjoyable as possible.

A reminder that we continue our classes until Friday 19th December. The only exception to this is the Junior Sport class on a Friday night and Senior Sport classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will finish up tomorrow night and resume for a new season on Monday 5th January. This is the off season for players and a new very exciting season kicks off in the new year. We are looking at this stage at one overseas trip and two or more interstate trips along with all of our own club comps and a couple of other local competitions. Be Ready!!!

Demo class will also close for the period of school holidays commencing next week.

All other scheduled classes will remain the same.

Fiona and I wish all of our families a Safe and Happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year!!!

Christmas Holidays and Fees

I have had a conversation with a Parent this week regarding holidays and Fees so I thought it worthwhile to clarify it for everyone.

Damien and I work out our fees per student and then spread the fee across a 6 monthly (13 fortnight) season. These are set at a rate we believe to be very fair and reasonable given our facilities and programs.

Damien and I over the 12 years we have been operating have made the decision to stay open over holiday periods given that most families these days have maybe one 3-4 week holiday per year and so at other times are looking for activities for the kids to be doing during these breaks from school.

What does this mean?

1. If we decided to close every school holidays (as many dance and other activities do) your fees would be spread over less weeks meaning that the fortnightly amount would be higher. We would still have to charge the same amount but you would have less fortnights to pay it off. An example for students on $45 payments instead of $585 being divided by 13 fortnights it would be divided by 10 fortnights meaning the repayments would be $58.50 per fortnight and we would be closed for holidays.

2. If you do take holidays for a couple of weeks everyone has the option to do catch up lessons.

3. One possibility if you would like the flexibility of stopping and starting is to go on to our fully flexible program which we introduced to new customers back in January. This is a $65 per fortnight fee with no 13 fortnight contract.

These are our current fees as of the start of this year 2008-

Customers who joined prior to January 2008 have been maintained on our unlimited program at $45 per fortnight on a 6 monthly (13 fortnight contract) instead of the new $55 fee

As of 1st January 2008 we had a price restructure and current fees are
Joining fee of $100 plus
$45 fortnight for two lessons per week on 6 month (13 fortnight) contract
$55 fortnight for unlimited classes on 6 month (13 fortnight) contract
$65 fortnight for unlimited classes on fully flexible no contract

We would like to get $200 each for the machines at the club. They are commercial quality and are valued at over $1000 per machine new.

The weights racks and most of the free weights will also be sold so don't miss out.

If you are interested in putting in an offer see Fiona or leave your bid at the reception. We are hoping to have it all gone by Christmas. If we have received no offers we will sell it on Ebay.

We are also selling our two office/computer desks. If you would like to have a look and make an offer see Fiona or Damien.

Demo Squad

by Damien O'Flaherty		Demo squad will have its final Thursday night training session tonight and final performance for the year on Saturday night. Demo class will not be held during the school holidays.

Sport Season

Sport season for Taekwondo in both Poomse and Sparring comes to a close this weekend with two of our students participating in the Oceania Championships in NZ. Good Luck to Susie and Pita.

Tomorrow night Friday 5th December will be the last night of training in all sport classes until the New Year, week of January 5th.
