Congratulations to all students who performed at the Demo on the week end. An extra big THANKYOU to John for donating so much of his time to enable our students to experience the fun of performing in front of large crowds, and to the Parents who assist by towing trailers and loading and unloading equipment. Many of the team performed for the first time at this fete- Well Done.
One big performance to go and that is our own Christmas Party and Awards night- the biggest performance of the year!!

New Book- Success for Teens

Success for Teens
I have just come across this new book called Success for Teens. From what I can see it appears to be a really interesting book based on many teenage stories and simple messages to remember. I am going to order some in so if you are interested let me know. Here are some of the important points they re inforce in the book.
SUCCESS for Teens™ has an immense goal: transitioning teens from passively waiting for life to happen to understanding they can-and, in fact, must-pursue their dreams now. This book tells them how they can begin.
Chapter 1: Little Things Matter Theme: The little things you do every day, whether positive or negative, will determine the kind of life you lead.
Chapter 2: Attitude is Everything Theme: Your actions are driven by what you most deeply believe about yourself and the world.
Chapter 3 : Use the Moment Theme: You can create a better future by spending less time in the past and taking action in the present.
Chapter 4: Everything Starts with Small Steps Theme: Every success in life, large or small, starts and continues with small steps.
Chapter 5: There's No Such Thing as Failure Theme: Success is built on failure because it helps you discover your strengths and creates unexpected opportunities.
Chapter 6: Habits Are Powerful Theme: Positive habits are powerful tools that can help you reach your full potential.
Chapter 7: You're Always Learning Theme: There's no standing still in life, as you always have opportunities to learn something new.
Chapter 8: You Can Make Your Dreams into Reality Theme: By taking small, positive steps over time, you dreams can come true.
YES this book is aimed at Teenagers but in reality the philosophy it teaches applies to all of us and the messages whether we are Kids or Adults can help us all.

No playing on Mats prior to classes!!!!

New Safety Rule
You will all know that our numbers have continued to grow over the past couple of years, and as a result some changes some times have to be made.
Last Wednesday Damien and I watched how students played on the mats prior to 3.45pm classes.
Unfortunately it has now got to the stage where we have had to cancel all playing on mats prior to classes. It is a result of some unsafe instances and also some unacceptable playing behaviours of some children, which sneek in when not supervised.
What this means is that Students will now have to stay with the parents under their supervision prior to all classes- preferably in the foyer area.
