I hope all Parent's had a great night out last Saturday night.  We ended up with 33 kids at our Parents Night Out, feasting on Pizza and Poppers while watching some movies on the big screen.  A big thank you to all of our helpers- Courtney, Jess, Kim, Nathan, Alex, Nic, Dan, Ryan and Olivia.  All of these people donated their time to help our parents enjoy a night out.  THANK YOU!!!

We ended up with a new photographer on the night- thanks George from Little Legends (5yr old), check out the photos in this email and on the website in the coming days.

This weekend Fiona and I are off to Sydney to a world wide Martial Arts Super Show.  There will be both business and training Seminars from leading instructors from all over the world.  We are both looking forward to it and expect to get some great ideas for our club which we will share with you on  our return.

Tans Competition 24th-25th May

26 Students have entered
I am thinking we have set a new record for the club with 26 students set to compete at the Tans Competition on 24 & 25 May.  The competition will be by far the biggest on the Queensland calendar with many interstate and International players confirmed.  At this stage 401 players have entered the competition so it is going to be a very busy week end.

If our players have trained hard they will be confident of achieving some good results.  I am sure they will all perform to their best of their ability and continue to make us proud of their skill and sportsmanship.

Parents Night Out

Biggest attendance yet
Last Saturday Night Staff at BTHA looked after students so that as many Paarent as possible coud have a night out together.  It was an awesome night with 33 students attending.  We put out the gym mats and students and brothers and sisters brought along sleeping bags and pillows.  With lights out and the big sound system hooked up we watched on the big screen Home Alone 4 and Monsters Inc.

After going through about 22 pizzas and 40 Poppers, students watched quietly enjoying the movies with some of their friends from the Academy.

Our intrepid 5yr old photographer George took some great photos some of which I have included here and others can be viewed on the website soon.

Club Technical Comp Sunday 1 June

Club Technical Comp is on 1 June
Remember to keep Sunday morning 1 June free for our Club Technical comp.  Application forms will be handed out in class in the following days so keep your eyes open for them.  Events at the Technical comp include Poomse, High Kick, Fly Side Kick, Board Breaking and Tile Breaking.

We have been handing out tickets in class to students to pass on to friends who may be interested in starting Martial Arts with our Academy.

We are asking for your help with this as we continue to make sure our club is around for decades to come it is crucial that we continually have white belts entering in to our system.
