Community Prayer for Rain
Jackson County Court House
The Community Prayer for rain has been extended thru next week July 25th thru July 29th. Pleas come and join on those days at 7:30am to pray for rain not only in our community but for all states that have been affected with the heat. The prayer meeting will be at the Jackson County Courthouse by flag poles. If for some reason you can't join us to pray at the Courthouse, please just remember to pray for the rain. |

A Sunday School Children's Teachers will be held today @ 4:30pm in the Fellowship Hall at the church. During this meeting, we will be discussing promotion Sunday, which will be held Sunday July 31. Please plan to attend. |

Church Wide Pot Luck Family BBQ
Saturday July 30th 5-:30 - 8:30pm
Attention all families at Martha Road Baptist Church and friends, are you looking for some fun with the family? Mark your calendars for Saturday July 30th from 5:30 to 8:30pm for a church wide family barbeque. The church will provide hot dogs and families are asked to bring food items that are needed.( a sign up sheet is located in the welcome area) So come and join us for some family fun, family games and of course food!

Mission Yec
Help Make a Difference
Want to do more than just hear about making a difference? Mission YEC is not just for our student's but is a way for everyone to get involved. Our students when they attend YEC will have the chance to help make a difference by putting meals together, packing them, loading them onto the container, and praying for the people that will receive these meals. YEC has partnered with Change this World and a Southern Baptist Missionary this year. All of us can help provide food for these meals by buy purchasing a T-shirt at:
Each shirt bought will provide food and shipping for 50 meals. |

Promotion Sunday
Sunday July 31st
On July 31st during the Sunday School hour our children and student's will be promoting up to their new Sunday School class. Your children and student's will go to Sunday School as normal at 9:45am, after roll is taken in their class the teachers will guide them back to the sanctuary where they will be moved up to their new class and be dismissed back to their new class. This is a fun and exciting time for your children, student's and teacher's. If you need any help or have any questions please ask Jarrod Spedding (Sunday School Director), Beth Roberts (Children's Ministry Director), Sunday School Teachers or the church office. |

VBS
Mission Project
As part of this year's VBS mission project we are asking for new kid backpacks to be donated during the month of July. The children will be assembling backpacks filled with school supplies at the beginning of August to give to other children in need before school starts. If you are able to donate a new backpack, please bring it to the church office during the month of July. Thank you for your support! |

MRBC Movie Night
Soul Surfer
You want to defiantly mark your calendars for August 7! We will be showing the blockbuster movie, "The Soul Surfer" This is a true story of a competitive teen surfer and a shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton who lost her left arm and still returned to surfing. Admission to the movie if free. The Student Ministry will be selling refreshments at a nominal price as a fundraiser for the Greenhouse Children's Ministry. Doors open for the movie at 5pm. There will be a limited number of seats so reservations must be made, for tickets please see the church office. (The movie is rated PG13 so an alternative movie will be offered for our younger children.)

AWANA
AWANA Kickoff Party
Have you heard the news? Summer is almost over and school is about begin! So it's AWANA time again! AWANA's is a program that is offered to children from age 3 (have to be potty trained) thru 12 grade. The goal of the AWANA program is to teach the student's about the Gospel of Christ in a bible-centered environment by scripture memory and teachings from the bible.
AWANA's will be every Wednesday at 5:55pm to 7:30pm at the church.
- Join us on August 17 at 5:55pm for the kick off. During this time, parent's you can register your child for AWANA's and meet the teacher. Children can meet their teacher's and fellow clubbers.
