Exciting changes...
As a children's ministry team we have developed an exciting new concept for our children's ministry program. It will now be known as "The Greenhouse" based on 2 Peter 3:18 and will be divided into 5 groups: "Seedlings" (0-2), "Sprouts" (3-4), "Tendershoots" (K-2nd Grade), "Bloomers" (3rd-4th Grade), and "Deep Roots" (5th-6th Grade). As a team we will also be sprucing up the children's area in order to make it more warm and inviting. If you are willing to help in the decorating process please don't hesitate to contact me.

Helper Spotlight
This month we are spotlighting Mrs. Heidi Brooks. Heidi currently serves in our "walker" nursery room as their Sunday School teacher. She brings a bright smile and a Godly cheerful attitude to the children she ministers to. |

We Need Your Help!
Nursery
Volunteers are needed in both our nursery rooms for both worship services and Sunday school hour. So whether you enjoy loving on sweet infants or playing with energetic toddlers we have a place for you to serve. We also ask that our parents, who regularly use our nursery ministry, to volunteer for our rotating nursery schedule. If you would like to volunteer please see one of our
Preschool Minstry Team Members.
Children's Church
Volunteers are also needed for our Children's Church which occurs during the second service. If you are interestd in volunteering for children's church please see one of our Preschool Ministry Team Members.
Sunday School Teacher
We are also seeking a 3rd & 4th Grade volunteer Sunday school teacher.

Mark Your Calendars
July 10th: VBS Kickoff Party @ the Altus Pool from 8-10pm
July 11-15th: VBS from 6-9pm
July 30th: Family Potluck BBQ -- Food, Fun, & Games
The church is providing hotdogs and the rest will be potluck style. Be on the look out for sign-up sheets in the welcome area.

Announcements
Nursery Improvements
In order to improve our nursery area we are seeking monetary donations so
we can buy new toys and equipment for the children. If you would like to donate please remove a value from the donation board and use the paperclip to attach the money and then place it in the offering.
Reminders For Parents
Nursery is provided for children ages birth thru 2 years of age. As your child approaches 3 years old we ask that you work with them on transitioning to the Worship Service or Children's Church.
Children's Church is offered only during the 11:00 servce for children
ages 3-5. As your child approaches 6 years old we ask that you work
with them on transitioning to the Worship Service
We now offer children's worship bulletins for three different age groups: Preschool, Younger Children, and Older Children. The bulletins can be found in the welcome area. There are also crayons and pencils for
your child's use, however, we ask that they be returned to the basket
after each use.

Vacation Bible School
VBS is around the corner and we still need volunteers to help. Sign up sheets are in the welcome area. VBS will be July 11-15th from 6-9pm. Click here to register your child for VBS. If you need additional information please contact Mendy Lingle @ 471-8403.
Also, if you are a volunteer working you and your family can come to the family meal at 5:30pm every night of VBS. The cost is $40 per family and $20 for individuals for the entire week of meals. Please sign up and pay by July 3rd at the church office or to Meri Kayla Baker.
Help With The Mission Project
As part of this year's VBS mission project we are asking for new kid backpacks to be donated during the month of July. The children will be bringing in school supplies during VBS and then they will be assembling backpacks filled with school supplies at the beginning of August to give to other children in need before school starts. If you are able to donate a new backpack please bring it to the church office during the month of July. |

Kids ages 4-11 can find their top secret mission envelope in the welcome area at the beginning of each month.
