  The Heat...
Times Square is about to welcome a big new change! On May 24th, a
big portion of Broadway, once called the "Great White Way' because of all of the
lights, is turning into a pedestrian only zone between 42nd and 47th streets.
This is really great news for the almost half million people who cross the
square daily! Come see the new & improved Times Square
this summer. It's even more important for the visitors who double or triple the
pedestrian volume on holidays. Upcoming events in the square to add to your calendar:
Monday, June 8th at 5pm: Taste of Times Square
One of New York's most popular outdoor food
festivals, admission to the event is free and full of fun. Come eat, dance and
listen to great music in the heart of NYC! The subject is "Food' and there will
be 25 or more restaurants serving their very best, right on West 46th Street.
Sunday, June 21st at 7:30am: Solstice in Times Square
A free yoga-fest for Yoga
enthusiasts of all levels. Experience a few moments of peace and meditation in
the city that never sleeps. The Yogi will help visitors and locals alike
welcome in a new season!

Recently New York Guest has been very busy with our Group Destination Services.
In April, we hosted 250 incentive guests recognized
for their excellence in sales. The group
agenda, a year in the making, included:
- Rooms for all attendees at the Waldorf Astoria
- A private cocktail event at Nasdaq in Times
Square
- An off site financial meeting in lower Manhattan overlooking the financial district and Statue of
Liberty
