The Heat... Love is in the air! We have received a flurry of requests lately from people looking to create the perfect marriage proposal. And we couldn't be more delighted to assist! Here are our top 5 favorite places in the city to pop the question:
1. The Observatory deck of the Empire State Building 2. The Gapstow Bridge in Central Park (see story below) 3. On a private sailboat while cruising the Hudson River 4. The Brooklyn Bridge 5. At the 21 Club, site of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall's engagement in 1944.
We can help you create the perfect setting for such a big moment: flowers, champagne, specialty chocolates, hotel, limousines, balloons, customized presents, and anything else your heart could desire! Just ask one of our favorite couples, Dennis and Jen, who we helped get engaged just a few days ago, on a warm winter day on the Gapstow Bridge. Our photographer was hidden in the bushes to help capture the moment:

NYC Travel Advice
Dear New York Guest,
Where can I hear good music when I come to New York next month? I'm on a bit of a budget. --Erin Arado, Chicago, IL
Some of the best music we've heard in New York City can be found in the subway and train stations, thanks to the MUNY (Musicians Under New York) program. Two of our favorites are the Alex Lodico Ensemble, often seen at Penn Station on Friday evenings and the Ebony Hillbillies, often seen in the 42nd Street station. Both bring lots of heart and soul to their music, and draw large crowds when they play. From opera to hip hop, you'll hear it all underneath the streets of NYC-- all for the cost of a simple metro card! |
NYG News... In recent weeks and months, New York Guest has been featured in radio and TV interviews with WCBS, Bloomberg's Taking Stock with Pimm Fox, NPR, and the Travel with Stephanie Abrams Show. We've discussed a broad range of topics within these interviews, including the impact of the flailing economy on New York City tourism, the importance of a good concierge, how to celebrate New Year's on a budget, and how to take advantage of the many new hotel options found in Manhattan.
We believe we a popular
media source because we offer objective and informative views on the local
state of affairs-- about the economy, hotels, tour and transportation
companies, restaurants and Broadway theatre. We are able
do that because of our central position in the New York City hospitality
industry, uniting great service providers from every end of the spectrum with
revenue opportunities.
If you would like more information about our positions on these and other topics, feel free to contact me directly.
Best regards,
John
