Three parades coming up in Savannah, St. Petersburg, and New Port Richey with just one more practice to put it all together. Our one and only "not to miss" marching practice will be Tuesday at Admiral Farragut Academy Field at 501 Park Street North in St. Pete at 6:30-PM Sharp!
Please be in the bleachers at 6:30, not just getting out of your car. We have a lot to do so please arrive early and meet in the bleachers! As reminder...there is NO SMOKING in the parking lot or anywhere else on the grounds. Also, please leave no trash, take out what you bring in.
We will take a few minutes to go through the detailed itinerary for Savannah Tuesday night as well.
Our shared concert with Northeast High School went well, sounding "brilliant" at times, but also exposed a few "rough spots" in the music that we will also take a look at on Tuesday. The Auxiliary did an outstanding job and looked sharp in their routines and in their new uniforms! I also thought the Northeast kids did an outstanding job and the audience was very appreciative of all of our efforts.
Again, the new uniforms simply looked fantastic both in the band and Auxiliary!
As we enter performance season, a reminder to "make the commitment" to be at each and every performance. We had a few unexpected holes at Northeast that we just can't have the rest of the month. Part of what makes the Rounders "The Rounders" is our size and power. Our season is short, our performances scheduled well in advance, so please..."make the commitment."
See you at Admiral Farragut Tuesday!

Chasco Fiesta Parade March 24: One of the largest parades in the Tampa Bay area, with arguably the most appreciative crowd remains the Chasco Fiesta Parade Saturday, March 24th in New Port Richey. This is a "not to miss" event with new buses from Annett Bus Lines (no "purple bus lines" this time!) and, unlike previous years, a short walk back to the buses after the parade. Logistical detail soon...but know we still have a few seats left on our Chasco buses for just $10.00. Don't even THINK of missing this annual performance for our neighbors to the North!

Two Concerts...one FUNtastic Afternoon!:
Our Progressive Concert for March 31st has shaped-up with two very fine venues to perform.
The DeSoto "Seafood Fest" in Bradenton with over 20,000 people expected and the Gulfport "Spring Fest" expecting nearly 10,000!
This will be the first of what looks to be a new annual Rounder highlight...our Progressive Concert Day!
For the concerts we will leave Tropicana Field at 10:00 AM on the buses heading for Bradenton. All need to ride the buses, since parking is NOT easily available at theses two venues. If you are playing/twirling, you need to ride the bus....no private cars please (logistics just don't allow!).
Buses for members will be free. Tagalongs (spouses, kids, etc.) are at a cost of $10.00 each and are welcome and encouraged. Band members in uniform ride FREE. We expect 100% participation. We will get back to Ferg's around 4:00 p.m. and have a congratulatory party at that time.
Come One...Come ALL! Let's make this a family day and all join for a fun day of travel and music!
