 TWLOGO

We have nearly sold out our 25 rooms at the TradeWinds Island Grand for our 30th Anniversary Weekend (see link above for event detail).

There are no more rooms available at that location but we have reserved 25 SUITES at the nearby (couple of hotels north) TradeWinds Sandpiper Beach Resort at the same price!

This will be much more comfortable (and highly recommended!) for those band members with 3 or 4 in a room.

Reservations can be made by calling the same number earlier published at 1-800-808-9833. Remember to reference the "Second Time Arounders May 4-6" dates for your $159.00 rate!

Don't miss the 30th!

 2012 Schedule available at www.secondtimearounders.org

Greetings!

To the full band I'd like to repeat a couple of bars that I shared earlier with the touring band. You'd be PROUD of the work they did in representing the Rounders organization in Calgary!

The fun, fellowship, new friendships, great performances, beautiful scenery, side trips and friendly Canucks make this Billtrip go down as one of the best we have experienced. We wish conditions would have allowed for all of you to join us!

We can be proud of not only our musical performances (not bad for an over-the-hill gang), but also for the kind and enthusiastic receptionwe received from the crowds along the parade route and during the field show.  You won the hearts of the Stampede committee and all Calgarians.  You seem to do that everywhere you go.

Your creative staff and board are already busy planning for this next season, our 30th year. Two highlights iTWLOGOnclude our 30th anniversary "get together" at the TradeWinds Island Resort on St Petersburg Beach and of course, our weekend trip to Savannah for the second largest St Patrick's Day Parade in the Country. Come one, come all to both events!

 IloveSavannah

As for our Calgarians..."Band hats off"  to each of you (if you didn't forget them) for your dedication and commitment to the best band....The Second Time Arounders!   You are Awesome!

See you all at the Holiday party.

Bill

Remember Savannah!

Well, here we go ROUND-ers again!

Your Second Time Arounders will be marching in one of the finest St. Patrick's Day Parades in America...in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday, March 17.

Details are "coming together" but what we can tell you is that Savannahbus transportation will be available from St. Pete leaving on Thursday, May 15th around 7AM and arriving in Savannah near 3PM. Fares aren't firm yet...but should be in the $79-$94 range. We'll announce actual fare once confirmed. You are of course welcome to drive or car pool to Savannah as well (we'll be asking you soon!).

We have arranged three different hotel options for the group depending on your desire...and budget!

All reservations for this amazing long-weekend event are to be second timemade by the traveler (that would be YOU). Other activities and potential side trips will be shortly announced.

This parade was so much fun; large crowds, lively nightlife, etc, that you simply won't want to miss being with us this St. Patrick's day! Let's do it a "Second Time!"

Make your hotel reservation now...and be certain to clarify the deposit and refund policies of the individual hotels. There are other hotels in the area if you are driving...but you'll find relatively expensive rate for this weekend blast.

Remember Savannah? Join us again or experience it for the first time. Rooms are available now!

Bill's Island Singers
It's a bit strange to start talking about Christmas in July...but since every one of you reading this are so musically inclined...July conversation it is!

For the past few years Tierre Verde's Island Chapel has presented Holiday Performances that have warmed many hearts. This year's "Joy, Joy, Joy" featuring the "Island Singers" and the "Second Winds" stands to be the best one yet! Pastor (and Rounder) Mike Wetzel is certain of it!

The Island Singers is made up of, well, singers from throughout Pinellas County Churches (last year 17 of them); plus "good island singersvoices" from the community at large. We are asking all Rounders who have ever sung in a school or church choir...or who even sing well in the shower (sorry, little water at rehearsal) to join us this year for "Joy, Joy, Joy."

The two performances will be on December 19th at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Palladium in downtown St. Pete.

We are looking to stage well over 100-voices...and need your membership toward accomplishing that goal. Our own Bill Findeison will conduct!

Want to join us? Call the chapel office at 727-866-7362 anytime Monday through Thursday.  Register with the secretary and reserve your music and CD.

Here's a Video Look at part of last year's performance with the Second Winds:

Island Singers 2010

Music books and voice-part CD's will be available for pickup next week at the Island Chapel on Tierre Verde (telephone above) We provide these early so you have time to learn your part by seeing the music and hearing the dominant voice part.  It is expected that you come to the first practice with a reasonable understanding of your part.  This saves lots of rehearsal time.

The cost for the music book and CD is $10.00 and due at the time you pick up your music.  Checks are payable to the Island Chapel.

The rehearsal dates are as follows:  November 1st, (Tuesday), and every Tuesday thereafter leading up to the performance on December 19th.  Practice starts promptly at 7:00 p.m. and is over at 9:00 p.m.

The Second Winds are also performing again this year and will join you for three selections, "Lead On, O King Eternal", an audience sing-a-long, and finish with "The Hallelujah Chorus".

Rounders...we want to "hear" your presence. Come sing along!
