Greetings!
Thanks to those who came to the first music reading on January 4th. We had quite the turnout...literally standing room only! What a great start to what is going to be an amazing Rounders season!
This coming Tuesday, February 1st at North East High School is our first Auxiliary and formal Percussion rehearsals. Drummers at 6PM in the band room (note the time) and Twirlers at 7PM in the cafeteria. Northeast High School for any newcomers is at 5500 16th Street North in St. Petersburg.
Especially for the Drummers who have already met several times in the off-season (you all sounded terrific at the run-through!)...EVERYONE must be there at 6PM please as we will conduct sectionals and Mike Mazzarisi will be flying in to conduct the practice.
Counting the days to the first FULL Rounders rehearsal on February 22nd!
All my best,
Bill |

| Great Turnout for "NMO" !! | | |
We thought you'd like to know (would you, really?) that the second annual "New Members Orientation" meeting held on January 13 at Harvey's 4th Street Grille was a BIG success....and their back room was just about packed!!! Over twenty potential new Rounders attended; musicians and twirling auxillary.

Preliminary feedback from attendees say we're on the right path, that we can improve in some areas, and that the meeting was helpful and informative. One particularly gratifying reply said, "I liked the fact that although the band is a very fun loving group, they are also very serious about the quality of the performance, and all seem to care deeply about the Rounders"
Thanks go out to the "veterans" who helped out...and now, on to our SEASON OPENER!!!
