![]() PCC Natural Markets (PCC), the nation's largest member-owned grocery retailer, has deployed an on-site "harvester" to turn food scraps into natural fertilizer at its Issaquah, Washington, store. The companies say the goal is to produce an organic fertilizer that can compete with consumer-oriented synthetics, both in terms of cost and efficacy.
