Electric Vehicles vs Ethanol Engines: Which Uses Biomass Better?
To power vehicles, biomass can be converted into electricity for electric vehicles or turned into ethanol to run internal combustion engines. In this study, researchers concluded that in terms of transportation and climate change goals, bioelectricity performs better, producing 81% more transportation kilometers than ethanol, and 108% more emissions offsets per unit of cropland. via Gas 2.0.
