San Diego Foundation Student Scholarships

We offer a number of different ways through which you can review, select and apply for scholarships.
We're pleased to offer the Common Scholarship Application as one convenient way for you to select from a number of scholarships for which you are interested and eligible. If you don't find what you're looking for, be sure to review the list of separate scholarships offered by The San Diego Foundation, each with its own set of application materials and deadlines, as well as the list of other scholarships and financial aid resources available to San Diego students.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir San Diego is looking for candidates for this school year's Visual and Performing Arts Educational Grants.  They are specifically seeking to help artistically talented students, especially those of limited financial means, with the costs of higher education.  The application can be obtained at:  http://mlkccsd.org.  For more information, contact Shelly Parker at (619) 447-2823 or email parker.shelly@gmail.com.

Our program grants are driven by The Foundation's mission, values, and focus on results that will bring lasting benefits to each community in our region. In 2009, The Foundation granted program grants of $1.2 million to our communities, in addition to the over $60 million in Donor Advised Fund Grants.

 

Program grant are distributed through a competitive process across specific subject areas, each headed by Working Groups of committed volunteers. Subject areas include arts and culture, civil society, the environment, health & human services, and science & technology.

Grant Opportunities:

The Neighborhood Unity Foundation

 

The Neighborhood Unity Foundation is now accepting applications for mini grants for the community.  Groups can apply for grants from $500 up to $5,000 and the theme for this cycle is "People Helping People" An orientation session will be held on January 17, 2011where an overview of the application process will be held along with questions answered.  The deadline for applications is January 31, 2011, by 5:00 p.m.  For more information, please contact Maslah Farah at (619) 527-4570.
