FREE Christmas Trees
WHILE SUPPLIES LAST
Do you have a Christmas tree yet? Want a beautiful Noble Fir Christmas tree for FREE? There's a lot in Normal Heights giving away free trees. They're gorgeous! This guy and his girlfriend brought 2 truckloads down from Oregon and haven't had any luck selling them. At this point they need to just get rid of them so they don't have to lose more money on disposal fees. So if you want to help out a really nice couple and you need a tree, check out this lot on the corner of El Cajon Blvd. and 39th Street. And if you're really feeling generous, a $5-10 donation would be greatly appreciated. |

Marcha Migrante VI
(Human Rights, Civil Rights for all !!!) SAVE THE DATES!
Brownsville, Texas to Montgomery, Alabama (February 2, 2011 to Feb 10, 2011 )
Brownsville, (El Valle, Texas) Corpus Christi, Houston, Victorville, Texas;...New Orleans, Louisiana;....... Jackson, Mississippi;.......Birmingham; Montgomery, Alabama
Marcha Migrante is back !!! Join us as it is more important than ever to take action. Our human rights and civil rights are being trampled from Brownsville to Montgomery and we need to stand up and say BASTA ! NO MAS! On Marcha Migrante VI we will visit some of the historical Civil Rights sights where are African American brethren have suffered (and continue to suffer) civil/human rights violations. We will partner with our fellow man, as we are all members of the same race, the human race and we need to unite like never before!
On each of our historic marches we have held vigils to remember our fallen brethren. We have held vigil in La Paz, California at the site of our hero Cesar Chavez's grave; in Redford, Texas at the burial site of murdered 17 year old shepard Esequiel Hernandez; in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania at the site of Luis Ramirez's brutal hate crime murder and in Long Island New York where another brother Marcelo Lucero was kicked to death. Neither they nor our other heroe's like Roberto Martinez will ever be forgotten. Roberto will always be the "padrino" of human rights along the US/Mexioco border and the "Father of Friendship Park"
On Marcha Migrante VI (Feb 2-9, 2010) we will return to the site of the death of 5 year old, Marco Antonio Villasenor and the 18 men that died tragically in Victoria, Texas. We will also have a special vigil to remember the 72 brethren that were massacred in Tamaulipas, Mexico as well as our murdered brethren Anastasio and Sergio Hernandez . Ni Una Muerte Mas! Reforma Ya !
Join us as we end our historic MARCHA MIGRANTE VI, in Montgomery, Alabama @ the home of our friends from the Southern Poverty Law Center. Only light can overcome darkness and Love overcome hate, si se puede....enrique morones...border angels and gente unida (borderangels.org) WE NEED YOUR HELP, JOIN US/SUPPORT; WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS Border Angels PO BOX 86598 San Diego CA 92138 GRACIAS !!! |

Redistricting Commision
Get informed and share your opinions with the 2010 Redistricting Commission. The San Diego City Charter requires that the City be redistricted at least once every 10 years. The Charter also sets forth the procedure for redistricting. It calls for creation of a seven-member Redistricting Commission, which has sole and exclusive authority to adopt the City's redistricting plan that sets the boundaries of City Council districts. This year, in response to a vote of the people, the Redistricting Commission will be adding a new Council district and be charged with dividing the City into nine Council districts.
