30th Ceremony of la Danza Mexi'cayotl Join us for this Unique San Diego Tradition!
The Mexi'cayotl Indio Cultural Center (MICC) brings together over 200 dancers from throughout the United States and Mexico to participate in dance in the San Diego Community.Two hundred dancers and their families will convene in the historic neighborhoods of Barrio Logan and San Ysidro to celebrate this tradition and the success of MICC's programming.

Donations
of Water & Flowers Are Still Needed
To host over 200 dancers and to provide our weekly workshops we depend on the gifts of time, treasure, and talents of our community. As an official 501(c) 3 not-for-profit, we can provide you with a receipt for all cash or in kind donations. If you or your organization is interested in participating and supporting the work of MICC, during our upcoming ceremony please

Water & fruits for our Dancers on Sunday (We anticipate it will be very hot and we need to keep our dancers hydrated) Flowers-(these are integral part of our ceremony)

Volunteers Are Needed!
Coordinating and hosting over 200 dancers over three days is a challenge, not to mention many of our members will be dancing in the ceremony itself. But with the help of our friends, families, and community volunteers this event will surely be a success. If you can volunteer for any of the shifts below please email us at panayajr@cox.net (Please include your email and available shifts) DINNER & VELACION: Volunteers will be needed to set-up, food prep, serving, and clean-up. Date: Saturday, July 24, 2010 Shifts: 5pm-8pm | 7pm-10pm | 9pm-1am Location: Casa Familiar Recreation Center, San Ysidro CA
SUNDAY BREAKFAST: Several dancers will have spent the night on a gym floor and will need to get their strength up to dance later that afternoon.

DANZA CEREMONY: Volunteers will be needed to prepare the grounds, pass out fruit and water to the dancers, and breakdown. Date: Sunday, July 25, 2010 Shifts: 9am-12pm & 12pm-5pm Location: Chicano Park, San Diego CA POST CEREMONY DINNER: Volunteers will be needed for set-up, food prep, serving, and clean-up.
