"Here I am" By Floyd Alexander

Seven remarkable women from classic literature and history, on stage together, for an evening of revealing conversation, revelation and confirmation of their contribution to the eras in which they lived.  In this compelling one-act drama play, these women exhibit wisdom, understanding and just plain grit as they dramatically present how they overcame crippling social restraints to achieve their independence.  Mr. Floyd Alexander is the author of several plays.

"The Pact"By Livia Krancberg

In the Jewish tradition of the importance of education through each generation, this stage presentation potently displays the struggle and final achievement of two friends who make a pact to succeed despite all the odds against them.  Mrs. Livia Krancberg is a  Holocaust survivor, who has written several plays.

Support Tijuna Mixtec School

Dear friends, on Saturday, July 10, at 2 p.m. my summer students and I will be going to the Mixtec school in Tijuana to take supplies.  We will also have a very special cargo:  15-20 computers!  In order to give the impoverished kids there the type of access to technology that we in the U.S. take for granted,  we previously donated about $1,000 for the building of a computer lab area.  It is now constructed and the school is very excited about receiving the computers that will be placed in it.

A major challenge that we face is lining up the vehicles necessary to transport them.  PLEASE help us to locate drivers for this very worthwhile purpose.  This act of assistance will provide the Mixtec kids a VERY great boost in their education.  A look into the eyes of the children there makes any inconvenience pale and everyone who has ever gone there with us has been very, very glad that they went.  The school even provides us with delicious Oaxaca-style pozole.

Please let me know if you can drive of if you know of anyone who can.  Thanks so much for considering this heartfelt request.

With great respect and gratitude
