La Voz Community Newsletter would like to introduce you to its new Community Partner, Minnie Rzeslawski of 24K International Realty. La Voz's Community Partners provide gifts of time, treasures and talents to ensure we can continue to provide this service at no cost to our readers.
Minnie Rzeslawski has been serving San Diego communities as a successful real estate broker for thirteen years. As founder and CEO of 24K International Realty, her vision is to enhance the quality of life of families by building strong neighborhoods through homeownership, community development and first rate schools. 24K is a real estate firm that specializes in first time homebuyers (FHA), Military (VA), short sales/foreclosures and providing counseling to all who need Honest, Professional and Personalized real estate services.
Minnie is a native San Diegan and a graduate of San Diego High School where until most recently sat on the San Diego High School Foundation as a board member and is currently an advisory board member of the School of Communication at one of the small schools at San Diego High. During her tenure, Minnie along with the past principal Cesar Alcantar, initiated and sponsored the annual bus trip in 2004 for Avid and Puente students to visit eleven different colleges in five days from San Diego to the San Francisco area. The best part of these trips is that San Diego High School alumni gave guided tours to two bus loads of SDHS students during our visits to colleges and universities. On their first trip, thirteen out of 38 students were accepted to a community or university college. This opportunity made it possible for them to see what they could accomplish and to know that "Si se Puede'.
In 2005, Minnie wanted to give back to her community and childhood neighborhood and opened a 24k International Realty office in Barrio Logan. At this location, Minnie donated her office space to numerous local artists, non profits and held community events and receptions to strengthen the community and build long lasting relationships with area residents. She also volunteered her work space and phones to local and nationwide political candidates and causes. Past sponsorships also include the San Diego Latino Film Festival, the Mariachi Festival VIP reception for the San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at the Barrio Logan office and continuous donations to various other organizations including the San Diego and California Sheriffs and sponsoring a much deserving disadvantage female graduate of San Diego High to a book grant on a yearly basis until the end of her graduate studies.
As a broker/realtor, Minnie has been an active member in numerous professional organizations including The National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professional (NAHREP); As an active community member, Minnie is a board member of The San Diego Home Loan Counseling and Education Center; advisory board member for School of Communication of the San Diego High Educational Complex; a member of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR); member of National Latina Women Business Association (NLWBA), a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and board member for the San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Minnie holds the distinction of being appointed to the Empire of Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women in 2004-2005 and most recently was selected Entrepreneur of the Year by the San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in addition to being recognized by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) with their affiliate award in 2006.
