La Voz Community Newsletter would like to introduce you to its new Community Partner, Eder Escamilla Photography.

Eder Escamilla Photography is the work of San Diego Photographer Eder Escamilla who brings a fresh approach to capturing special moments in beautiful, stylish, timeless photographs. His innovative style focuses on capturing emotion and personality, documenting special moments for future generations.

Eder is available for any special occasion from weddings to baptisms and birthday parties. He also specializes in fun and candid outdoor portrait photography for families and individuals. Special event photography is available for corporate and nonprofit meetings and conventions.

You might be familiar with Eder's name because he spent the last 10 years working in the community of Southeastern San Diego for various nonprofit organizations. Some of his contributions have included organizing health fairs and afterschool youth programs. He has also worked in child nutrition and provided technical support for violence prevention programs. Among other things, Eder has also been an organizer for the Cesar E. Chavez Community Celebration in Southeastern San Diego for the past nine years.

In the last year, Eder walked away from the nonprofit world to focus on his passion for photography. However he still provides technical support for photography, graphic and web design at discounted rates for nonprofits.

WHAT IS LA VOZ? La Voz is a personal e-mail list that over the last 12 years has worked towards keeping the San Diego non-profit, Latino, and community at large connected . It consists of e-mail contacts that include students, educators, elected officials and their representatives, media, organizers and activist, clergy, non-profit executive directors, and business leaders. La Voz consists of three weekly e-mails consisting of community events, grant and funding opportunities, and job opportunities. Additionally La Voz reserves the right to send out ocassional e-mails on behalf of its community partners and sponors.
