Community Videographer (flexible, temporary, part-time, independent contractor, free-lance)

MACSD is expanding its' Digital Story Station (www.digitalstorystation.com) initiative across San Diego County. Videographers and editors are needed to document the voice of local community members. Digital stories will be uploaded to www.voiceofsandiego.org allowing personal and neighborhood-based stories to be heard to a broad audience; and allowing underserved voices to be apart of the solution for important issues effecting all of us.

To participate, MACSD is ideally seeking local media artists who can accomplish the following:
1) Participate in one 1-day Digital Story Training (one training held monthly.  Locations/times TBA)
2) Agree to gather community-based stories on the following topics: Housing, Education, Politics, Science, Environment, Employment, Economy, Local History, healthcare, or Arts/Culture.
3) Agree to gather stories in neighborhoods throughout San Diego County (South Bay, North County, East County, underserved communities, multiple languages, tribal communities etc..)
4) Produce at least two 2-3 minute digital stories per month (i.e. interview community member, edit, upload to Internet, turn-in DVD for archive).
5) Access to own video and editing equipment a plus. However, MACSD can provide needed equipment when necessary on a check-out/check-in basis.

Desired Skills:
* Basic Editing experience (Imovie, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, PhotoShop)
* Basic videographer experience (interviewing skills, audio, etc..)
* Bi-lingual (Vietnamese, Spanish, Filipino)
* Experience working with underserved communities.

Payment:  MACSD will pay $175 per digital story (2-3 minutes max.). Each story must be approved by MACSD prior to payment. Approval is based on 'story/content', quality, and on how well it fits with other 'community-driven' or 'personal' stories on the site. Job Description
Employment & Community Options is seeking an exceptional leader to coordinate the overall management of programs and services through its five county service area. Responsibilities include supervising three Regional Directors and the Behavior Planning & Services Specialist, insuring the delivery of quality services, coordinating the overall training plan for the agency, developing new programs and services and maintaining accreditation standards.
 
The ideal candidate is a strong leader, who sees the "big picture", holds the management team accountable, develops strong systems and processes, and maintains collaboration and consistency across all geographic locations.
 
Starting Salary
Ranging from $5,100 - $6,250 per month. Actual wage will be based upon level of education and experience. Benefits to include medical, dental, sick, vacation, long term disability, life Insurance and retirement.
