Sister City Society is the one of the oldest Sister Cities in San Diego, providing 34 years of Citizen Diplomacy with their twin City in Tema Ghana. They are the only Africa Sister City in San Diego.  This presentation will introduce to some and update others on the history, purpose and upcoming Trade & Mission Trip to Tema, Ghana, set for 10/21/09 - 11/05/09.
 
Marnyce S McKell has been a resident of San Diego California for 10 years, serving as president for the San Diego - Tema Sister City Society for the past 4 years(2-2 year terms).  She is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara.  She holds a BA in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on PolSci/Socology/Mass Communications.  She received her certification as a Community Economic Development practitioner, from San Diego State University in 2002. Ms McKell is the President/CEO of M.S. McKell & Associates a Missouri based corporation, specializing in Diversified Event/Meeting Planning, Public Relations & Marketing.  Celebrating 20 years of business 5/1/09 M.S. McKell & Associates specializes in ethnic consumer marketing and heritage tourism development.  As the parent company for Connect International, Ms McKell consults in the area of international business development, creating strategic business allinaces between businesses in the US and businesses in Africa, with Sister City relationship.
