Most definitely! I encourage you to send me anything you like me to send my contacts. I ask that it remain positive & work towards improving our communities. Don't send attachments that take a lot of memory, include the text in the body of the e-mail. I do my best to get things out in a timely manner, I do this on my free time, so life and & work may slow things down. Please send all submissions to panayajr@cox.net

INTRODUCING OUR NEW FORMAT |
Greetings!
Welcome to the new format for La Voz. After about 10 years of filling your inbox with e-mails we have developed a new format for sharing the information of La Voz with each of you.
This new format was born because of both necessity and the feedback I have received from each of you over the years. This list has become so large that Cox e-mail can no longer support it. Because of that I have purchase this e-mail marketing service (Constant Contact) to continue the work of connecting our community together through information. The good news is that the service comes with some great features such as newsletter templates, usage statistics, and contact management. The bad news of course is that I will incur a significant personal cost to continue this. Over the next few weeks I will be forwarding some very basic sponsorship opportunities that will help me cover my costs; I hope some of you will consider them.
Additionally the volume of e-mail will be reduced to 3-5 emails per week, significantly reducing the volume. This will be done by using a newsletter format. Three of the five e-mails will be themed, community events (Saturday); job opportunities (Tuesday), and Development Opportunities (Thursday). The remaining emails per week will focus on urgent or special events that are either urgent or did not fit the criteria of the other 3 emails.
I hope you enjoy the new format and please feel free to forward to others. They will be able to subscribe by clicking on the link at the end of the e-mail. If you have any ideas, submissions, or are intereste din supporting this work please contact me directly at panayajr@cox.net!

LA VOZ is a personal e-mail list that I have developed over the last 10 years. It consists of over 3000 contacts that include students, educators, elected officials & their representatives, media, organizers and activist, clergy, non-profit executive directors and professionals, and business leaders. The info sent out includes community events, funding opportunities, scholarships, employment opportunities, some editorials, current politics & bills that need support, & volunteer opportunities. The e-mails sent out are done as a free service and are not connected to any particular organization. Most of the e-mails are San Diego based but are increasingly becoming more diverse in geographic origin and relevance. What I sent out is not meant to be partisan but since it is a private e-mail list I reserve the right to be selective on the items I send out in regards to electoral politics. LA VOZ is a volunteer project that I enjoy doing and my way of giving back to our community...I am passionate about connecting our community to resources and opportunities. |
