This year Natural High is exuding with gratitude to all of you for making this movement what it has become. As most of you know, this all started in the home of Jon Sundt, a La Jolla, California business man who had lost his two brothers to drugs. Since the years of making the first Natural High VHS tape, Natural High is now becoming known in the hearts and minds of millions of youth from sea to shining sea.

Last week, Natural High celebrated its 11th Annual Sunset Splash Gala and brought in supporters from across the country who conveyed the true meaning of our mission. The day began at Muirlands Middle School with a Red Ribbon Premier showing of Natural High 5, which was introduced by singer, song-writer, and Natural High 5 star Cassadee Pope. Students sat in awe as they watched the stories of four celebrities, including Cassadee. Perhaps the students felt the greatest connection to the message when they viewed other young people, like themselves, featured at the end of the video proclaiming their Pledge to live Naturally High.

Featured Activity: Natural High Assembly

Having a Natural High Assembly at school can be one of the most impactful activities among staff and students. There is much new highlighted research among us showing the power of positive peer pressure works. Perhaps we have known this fact for years, as Aristotle himself said, "Man is by nature a social animal; an individual who is unsocial naturally and not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human. Society is something that precedes the individual..."
