Greetings!
Happy November! We hope you and your family had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! Our November issue highlights the exemplary alumni and friends who were inducted in the Athletic Hall of Honor and the Alumni Association's Hall of Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Service to Sul Ross. In addition, you will find a homecoming photo gallery highlighting our homecoming that took place in October; including coverage of the AKL reunion. During homecoming weekend at the annual Alumni Association meeting, the board of director's election results were announced for 2007-2008. The board also elected Don Sugarek as President of the Alumni Association.
Also, I am excited to be working with a new student-based extension of the Alumni Association called the Lobo Legacy Student Association "Preparing Today's Students as Alumni Tomorrow". Many plans are in the works as it aims to both provide a connection to the Sul Ross Alumni Association, as well as promote the interests of and understanding between Sul Ross students-past, present, and future. For our next newsletter, if you have a Sul Ross holiday story to share, send us your photo and story. Best wishes to everyone this holiday season!
Sincerely,Saul Garza Executive DirectorSul Ross State University Alumni Association
