Tulane University School of Medicine has launched an important initiative in team training to improve patient safety using TeamSTEPPS, developed by the Agency for healthcare Research and Quality and the Department of Defense.  TeamSTEPPS is designed to promote and enhance the ability of inter professional healthcare teams to provide safer care.  This session will demonstrate TeamSTEPPS principles and how these techniques can be utilized to improve patient safety.  This presentation will also provide an overview of how this program is being implemented by Tulane University School of Medicine.
