Fire Buffs Shows their appreciation

On July 30th, 2011 the Regional Niagara Fire Buffs presented Alan Willick, CEO of Talk Wireless, a plaque of appreciation. Talk Wireless donated and installed communications equipment in their support unit vehicles, and has been actively involved in all their wireless technology needs for many years.

The Regional Fire Buffs Association was formed in 1976 with people from all walks of life interested in fire service. Some members are full-time or volunteer fire fighters and some have retired from service. Their interests include the supports unit, fire scene and apparatus photography, communications, fire prevention and preservation of antique fire apparatus.

Now in there 23rd year, the support unit has responded to over 596 calls with dedicated volunteers being paged out on a 24/7 basis by the St. Catharines Fire Service Dispatch.

A salute to Brian Lobbezoo

You might know that Brian has three major passions in his life: family, wireless technology and volunteer fire-fighting. A unique opportunity which meets the needs of his family and includes the other two has been presented to him. On July 4th, 2011 Brian will take on the role of Communications Officer with the St. Catharines Fire Department where he'll be responsible for much of the technology they utilize to dispatch and communicate with fire-fighters throughout the Niagara Region.

Brian is perfectly suited for this position with his vast technical and hands-on experience in fire service communication. It really is a once in a lifetime opportunity to play an important role in shaping the decision-making process for the Fire Departments in Niagara for years to come. He will do a superb job.

Brian has been with Talk Wireless since the beginning, over thirteen years ago and has played a key role in getting us to where we are. He has been a great asset to our company and a role model to us all. He'll be missed. Please join Talk Wireless in congratulating Brian on his new path with the St. Catharines Fire Department.
