What is it?

BlackBerry App World is a one-stop storefront to discover, download and manage applications to a BlackBerry Smartphone. Clients can get more out of their BlackBerry with fun, popular and useful apps to stay informed, connected and entertained on the go.

How do you get it?
BlackBerry App World is available on Storm, Tour, Curve, Pearl and Pearl Flip. You also will have to be on a smartphone package with web browsing. If it has not been preloaded, you can go to mobile.blackberry.com on your mobile browser to download it.

Easy to use?
1. Find the app in Featured Items, Categories, Top Downloads or using Search
2. Download a free app or buy a paid one (via Pay Pal).
3. Download, manage, and uninstall apps using My World.

Cell Phone Etiquette?
To most of us, cell phones are a life saver, but rude cell phone users are the thorns in our sides. They're pretty much anywhere that there's a cell phone signal. The thing is, we could all probably use a little primer on cell phone etiquette. After all, most people who are being annoying don't realize they're being annoying. Could that be you?

1. Keep Conversations Private
  • Keep your voice down
  • Keep it short
  • Put on vibrate, return call by text. Be sure to explain to caller it's not a good time
  • Allow to go to voicemail and call when you're in private
  • Leave room to take call
  • Leave 10 feet from you and the nearest person
2. Location
  • Lights out, phone off
  • Don't answer in enclosed spaces E.g. Elevator, Subway, Train etc.
  • Hang up before entering drive through or a retail counter
3. Respect Your Company
  • Do not answer while on a date
  • Do not answer while enjoying a meal
  • Allow call to go to voicemail and call back later
  • Do not answer in mid-conversation
  • Do not text while in conversation
4. Driving
  • Pull over
  • Put on hands free mode
  • Do not text while driving
  • Do not multi-task
5. Ringtones
  • No loud annoying ringtones
  • Make sure the volume of ringer is at an appropriate level
  • No more than 3 subsequent ringtones
6. Do not Screen Call too often

7. Reply to missed calls quickly or with a text

8. Don't use the poor reception/dropped call excuse too much

9. Don't make your voicemail too long

10. Handsfree in public places
  • Are you talking to me? People think your talking to them.
