How many songs can I download in a month?
This is not a simple answer, it depends on many variables such as how long the song is, if the song is compressed or not and what format the file is. For example if the song is 3 minutes, compressed like in a 16 bit 44khz wave format (.wav) it would usually be approximately 30MB = 1024 songs per month with a 30GB cap. If its compressed into a 128KB .MP3 then it would be approximately 3MB = 10,240 songs per month with a 30GB cap.

How many movies can I download in a month?
Again this is not a simple answer, it depends on many variables like length of movie, if the movie is compressed, full length, High Definition, Blueray, and what format the file is. For example a one hour .avi or .divX file would usually be approximately 300MB = 102 one hour movies per month with a 30GB cap. And a two hour .avi or .divX file would usually be approximately 700MB = 43 two hour movies per month with a 30GB cap. For the YouTube fans 30GB would be 300 hours of YouTube watching.

Conversion Calculator:
8b (Bites) = 1B (Byte)
1024B (Bytes) = 1KB (KiloByte)
1024KB (KiloBytes) = 1MB (MegaByte)Downloading Music
1024MB (MegaBytes) = 1GB (GigaByte)

Neighbourhood Wireless Caps:
Residential & Business Basic Plans allow 30GB/month
30GB = Approx. 30,720MB

Residential & Business Premium Plans allow 50GB/month
50GB = Approx. 51,200MB

Should I leave my computer on or shut it down?
Shut Down Image
When people ask this question, they're generally weighing the benefits of saving money on electricity versus wear-and-tear on PC components. For years, many people have claimed that continually shutting down and restarting your computer more quickly wears out the power switch, drive motors, and other components.
