For some of you, trunked radio has been your primary method of communicating with your fleet for many years. Our typical subscriber uses a mobile radio installed in a truck, and it provides voice communication throughout Niagara and the golden horseshoe. The ability to do a group call, or "one-to-many", is valuable to the way you operate your business. Even if you use cellular as your primary communication, we have good news for you!

MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus is the next generation of trunked radio for the digital age. This technology leap adds enhanced voice features and data capabilities to the radios so now a radio can do so much more. The chart below lists some of the features available with MOTOTRBO.

Group Call (1 to many) - one person speaking is heard by a vast group of radio users in the fleet, just like our current systems do.

Digital Quality - consistent voice quality within the coverage area. No crackle or breaking up.

Push-to-Talk ID - identifies who is talking on the display of other radios who are listening (like call display on your phone)

Call Alert - an audible and visual way to let a radio user know you're trying to reach them.

Secure - users will have the capacity to send and receive digitally encrypted messages ensuring even higher levels of security that is already inherent within the trunking technology.

Individual Call (one-to-one) - private conversation capability between any two radios who are provisioned to do so. This can be limited to key personnel if desired.

Talkgroup Scan - a radio user can be provisioned to monitor multiple talk groups.

Voice Privacy - company fleets are private even though sharing one system.

Vehicle Tracking (GPS) - built-in ability to know where the radio is at all times and with AVL software track its location and vital information. Features include Speed, Distance travelled, start/stop times, etc.

Radio Inhibit/Kill - makes it possible to inhibit or disable a lost or stolen radio.

Radio Check - checks if radio is on or off.

Emergency - the ability for a radio user to indicate an emergency is in progress.

Text Messaging - send short messages back and forth to radio users.

Email Messaging - route emails to radio users.

Temperature Monitoring - use a variety of input sensors to monitor your vehicle status.

MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus will have flat rate airtime which you can budget for, month after month. Coverage from our Niagara site will be the same as you have now.
