Village Construction Update

After months of careful planning and discussions with staff, board members, architects and building professionals, a new Master Plan for the future of Yemin Orde Youth Village is on the verge of completion. Requests for bids on the large scale project will soon be sent to contractors, but there is a $1.7 million shortfall to complete the fire recovery portion of the plan. Yemin Orde in Our Community: Graduate Adam Bashar Makes New Friends in Washington, D.C.
Yemin Orde graduate Adam Bashar recently completed an internship program in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Adam worked in Visitor Services, met with people from all over the world, and discussed his journey from northern Darfur to Israel. Adam was also guest speaker in Potomac, MD, where he shared his story with new and familiar friends. Read More.

Welcome to Carol Effrat - New Florida Regional Director
Friends of Yemin Orde (FYO) welcomes Carol Effrat, an experienced nonprofit professional and high level manager for national Jewish organizations as its new Florida Regional Director. Carol previously served as Director of Strategic Planning and Development for the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). In her new post, Carol will promote Yemin Orde Youth Village and Yemin Orde Educational Initiatives (YOEI), as well as build connections to the Village throughout Florida. Read More.
