Chaim Peri Tours Major US Cities

 

Chaim Tour March 2011

Chaim Peri toured major cities on both the east and west coasts during a special two-week trip to the U.S. in mid-March. In Philadelphia, he participated at the Jewish Funders Network International Conference. Chaim joined a panel discussion on "Spreading Good Ideas" where the replication of the Yemin Orde model was discussed. Read More

Graduates Day at the Village 


Graduate Day

Graduates Day is one of the most significant days of the year at Yemin Orde. On Tuesday, March 29, some 130 graduates returned to the Village to be welcomed back with much warmth and joy. Graduates Day is important to the older children at the Village as it offers the chance to meet graduates and reflect on their own futures and the opportunities that await them. Read More

Yemin Orde Children Excel at      

FIRST Robotics Competition

 

FIRST Robotics 2011A team of 22 children from Yemin Orde successfully participated in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition with outstanding results. The children worked on the challenging robotics project with a team of volunteers from the Israeli Navy. They named the robot "Ahi Orde" -Ahi means my brother in Hebrew and it is also an acronym for an Israeli navy ship. Read More

Purim 2011Purim in the Village was especially festive given events of recent months. This year, the small miracles that stemmed from the fire are still fresh in the memories of children and staff, and celebrating the miracle of Purim was particularly meaningful.
