GARDENING BITS AND PIECES
It is Saturday in Palmerston North, and while I am writing this,
nice showers are wetting the soil and plants are growing in response.
It has been a poor spring and summer so far for gardening, but
hopefully conditions will improve in February, if they don't then it's
going to be a bad season overall. More...WEEDS & WEED CONTROLA weed can be defined as a plant growing where you do not want it to
grow. It maybe a preferred plant that has seeded or spread to become
invasive, or it maybe a non desired plant that has made its home in
your gardens. More...

Central London to Coastal Island Style
Five years ago Karen and Mike Robertson were living in Central
London, happily unaware a new home was waiting for them in New Zealand.
With two young boys and busy careers, they were considering what
next... "Our lives were lovely; yet we weren't quite sure of our next
step. We were fortunate at that time to do some structured reflection;
so we decided it was time to have an adventure," Karen reflects. "We
took a clean sheet of paper and wrote a set of ideals for our lifestyle
and began to think about places which might measure up. "It rapidly
became clear that we would most likely give up our jobs and leave
England to meet those ideals."New Zealand came up as a possible match
and they holidayed here in Christ-mas 2002 mainly in Auckland and
Northland.

Resort Style Haven - Donna Stanish, Seed Landscapes
An oasis of colour and texture brings a subtropical theme to this humble garden. Set against a backdrop of native New Zealand bushland, the garden has been transformed intoa resort-style haven and is the perfect complement for this suburban Auckland property.
Designed by Donna Stanish of Seed Landscapes, the garden was constructed by the client himself, who is a builder. "It was a real pleasure working with someone who could quickly interpret the plan and envisage the finer construction details that go into making a garden unique," says Donna. Read more...

Treillage is the term for the classic structural elements in a formal garden or living space. These
can take the form of trellised walls or enclosures, arbours, gazebos,
pavilions, colonades or free-standing structures such as planters,
obelisks and other individually designed features. Treillage structures
also give a sophistication and beauty to indoor areas such as entrance
areas, foyers and lobbies. Wall panels based on classic designs
can be used in smaller gardens, patios, apartment balconies and gardens
to enhance planting or be stand alone features. Michael Grace will
personally discuss with you the design, construction and installation
of any size or style of Treillage structure, in a garden or indoor
setting. More...Mahogany 2m Circular Tree Seat
