Greetings!

Most of my rosebuds are swollen and some even sprouting all tucked up in their mulch which is a great sign, as it means that spring is just around the corner. I am a bit over the wet cold months and look forward to warm evening walks and entertaining outside. With this in mind we have just launched a new Furnishing Gallery packed with outdoor sofas, bean bags and even custom made furniture for your landscape garden. In this issue there is some great advice on getting tomatoes planted early, how to manage pests and diseases by companion planting and a great new curbing solution which can incorporate both lighting and irrigation from Borderline.

Enjoy!

I love Gingers!
Say that in public and wait for the pursed lips, the little gasp of disapproval and the muted rumble of pearls being clutched all across the land.

Ginger DOC and MAF have done their job well. But wait. Not all gingers are weeds. Many of them are quite benign in our gardens and will never be a threat to our bush. Several of the Hedychium family of gingers produce fleshy fruits which are eaten by birds and dispersed through the bush. Read more >>

Start Planting Tomatoes Now
TomatoesNew season tomato plants are now becoming available from your garden centre and now is a good time to start off an early tomato plant or two. The best advise is to plant out, or pot up, a couple of tomato plants every month for the next six or seven months. By doing this you can have a continuous supply of ripe fruit right through till winter sets in. Read more >>

Featured Solution
When researching whether to introduce the Borderline Continuous Concrete Kerbing System to New Zealand, one of the deciding factors was the innovative kerbing systems ability to deliver a WOW Factor to the NZ Consumer.

Borderline

BorderLightâ„¢ is one of those innovations - a lighting system extruded directly into the kerbing as it is being laid delivering a unique cost effective garden lighting system.

A range of lighting colours are available from clear through to milky white, yellows, blues, greens and reds giving the customer a choice when designing their outdoor lighting - from passive lighting through to bold lighting statements.  Not only is it an excellent residential garden feature, it has many uses in areas such as Rest Homes and public facilities illuminating garden paths etc.

But it doesn't stop there.

The beauty of this product is that it is so versatile - the same kerbing system can be used to enclose drip/spray irrigation systems and exterior wiring for sound systems or feature lighting keeping them clear of damage from spades while still providing kerbing to contain the garden.

Borderline NZ Ltd prides itself on delivering excellent service and quality kerbing - call us on 0800 537 246, visit our website www.borderlinenz.co.nz for more information and we will put you in contact with a Borderline operator in your area.

Thank you all for your support and feedback -
