Greetings!
Its always a good icebreaker to talk
about the weather, but we have certainly not needed an icebreaker in Hawke's
Bay over the past week, it has been damn hot as they say. And once again there
is talk about water or lack of it. The saying "you can lead a horse to water"
springs to mind and in particular (I have to admit) we have had a very trickly
response to the Summer
Design Clinic. Is this a case of a dry tall poppy syndrome? Or prostrate Rosemary problems perhaps? is there
someone who can break the drought on this front and send us an image of an area
of their garden they would like some pointers on. If this is you please let us know.
For those of you who like a competition
there are some great prizes to be won this month including a Thomas Rose deck
chair, Design Consultations, Liquid Compost and plant vouchers.
This week in Groundwork Wally talks about insect controls in the
Garden, Jenny shares her battle to get her garden under control
after the summer vacation, Tod gives us some great ideas on adding colour to summer
salads using edible flowers, Sandra starts a new series helping people to create
beautiful but small spaces at their place, and we feature Gus Evans Nurseries and their great range of coastal
plants.
