Parking Permits Enforced Beginning June 27th
Don't forget to buy a parking permit for the six-week summer session! Beginning June 27th, Police Services will begin issuing parking tickets to vehicles parked in the Pittsburg campus lots without summer 2011 parking permits showing. Summer Add and Drop Dates
Keep in mind that, just as summer sessions are shorter than semesters, deadlines for adding and dropping summer classes are much earlier. Drop by the Admissions Office or call (925) 439-2181, ext. 7500 for the add and drop dates for specific classes.

Class Cancellations Online
If you are new to LMC, you may not know that you can check online to see whether one of your classes has been cancelled for the day. The online Daily Class Cancellations web page provides a solution to the frustration of getting up early on a summer morning and rushing to the college, only to find out your instructor had to report for jury duty. Why not bookmark this page on your computer for daily check-ins? A link to the Daily Class Cancellations page can also be found on the LMC homepage.

You Have InSite!
LMC Students now have a portal to access all official college communications in one place, including WebAdvisor, instructor messages, Financial Aid and Admissions notifications and reminders, and much more! If you are a new student or a continuing student who has not yet done so, be sure to log on to InSite and activate your new email account right away. Click on the InSite/Wedadvisor logo on the LMC homepage to get started today!

Why must you check your InSite page regularly?
All communications from the college will either be delivered to your InSite Mail or posted on your InSite portal page, including:

• Online payment receipts
• Schedule changes
• Notification of Eligibility to Register from the Waitlist
• All communications from faculty
• Reminders of class start dates
• Urgent messages from the college (emergencies, etc.)

Planetarium Entrance Completion Delayed
The remodeling of the College Complex entrance by the Planetarium is taking a bit longer than originally anticipated and will not be completed by the beginning of the six-week summer session. The project is now expected to be completed by June 30th. The entrance by the Little Theater and Lot C is still on track to be completed by July 31st, in plenty of time for fall semester. See the college map for available college entrances and ADA access during the construction.

Hwy 4 Construction - Closure Updates Available
Highway 4 construction continues and may result in entrance/exit ramp closures at both Loveridge and Somersville Roads, main routes to and from Los Medanos College. See the LMC Parking and Transportation web page for a link to information about anticipated ramp closures.

Sell your used textbooks back to the LMC Bookstore on July 27th and 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
