to Congress Today
Cardinal Dollan
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, President, USCCB

"The only complete solution to this religious liberty problem is for HHS to rescind the mandate of these objectionable services."

                 - Feb. 10 USCCB Statement

WASHINGTON-A vote on the Respect for Rights on Conscience Act could happen as early as next week. The bishops are calling on Congress to pass, and the President to sign, the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act. The bishops renew their call to the Catholic faithful, and to all Americans, to join together in this effort to protect religious liberty and freedom of conscience for all by contacting Congress now!The Catholic bishops of the United States recently pledged to continue efforts to correct the "literally unconscionable" decision by the Obama Administration to continue to demand that sterilization, abortifacients and contraception be included in virtually all health plans.

Monthly Featured Article: Contraception

This month's featured article is "Contraception"

The 2011-2012 Respect Life Program continues throughout the year with the theme "I Came So That All Might Have Life, and Have It to the Full."

In addition to the eight pamphlets in the new "Life Matters" series, the packets also include a liturgy guide, clip art, bulletin inserts and more information for your parish or organization. Spread the Gospel of Life by ordering packets or packet items separately.

This month's featured article is "Contraception". Contraception is a grave moral offense. Contrary to what its proponents say, contraception does not reduce the rate of abortion.  Learn some of the hard facts in this pamphlet.
