U.S. BISHOPS URGE CONGRESS TO OBSERVE RESPECT FOR LIFE, ACCESS FOR ALL IN HEALTH CARE LEGISLATION
BishopMurphy
WASHINGTON-"Genuine health care reform that protects the life and dignity of all is a moral imperative and a vital national obligation," said Bishop William F. Murphy of Rockville Centre, N.Y., as he outlined the policy priorities of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on the issue of health care in a July 17 letter to Congress. Meet the Intern
CreativityThe internship program educates and trains the future leaders of pro-life efforts in the Church.
"I have enjoyed my pro-life work at the USCCB because of the valuable education and experience I have gained, not to mention working alongside the dedicated, faith-filled staff.  During my two years here, I completed my Masters at the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage & Family. I accepted a position as DRE in Fulton, Maryland, and I look forward to continuing to spread the Gospel of Life within Religious Education at the parish level." -Joanna, Alexandria, VA
New Prayer!

Prayer for Protection of Human Life at its Beginning

God our Father, you lovingly knit us in our mothers' womb.  Grant that each human embryo will be
respected as a human being, and not dismissed as a product to be manipulated or destroyed. Grant us the courage and conviction to be your voice for our sisters and brothers at the very earliest stages of their development, and for all defenseless unborn children. Jesus, Divine Healer . . .
