November 2008
Greetings!

This is the hardest time of the year to stay committed to your goals of fitness and wellness. It's the holiday season.

When we don't take a little time working to stay centered, balanced and in our bodies,  we can get out of whack fast. And that isn't good for anyone.

So, let us help you stay in touch with your best self this holiday season with our affordable Pilates packages, workshops for all and workshops for teachers.

By focusing on aligment and breath, a playful self-awareness invites a sense of ease in challenging yoga poses--and in our lives.

Scoliosis Workshop For Pilates Teachers with Joy Puleo
Dates: Sun 11/9/2008
Time:  10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This workshop will examine the spine, its weight bearing capacity, curves, structure and muscular attachments. Scoliosis changes the nature of the spine and all of the above are subsequently effected. We will look closely at just how muscular balance is affected and what that means for movement patterns. We will also explore other changes, diseases, and degenerations of the spine (including but not limited to: osteoporosis, arthritis, herniations), which cause decreased range of motion, pain and discomfort. Finally we will experiment with training techniques designed to strengthen, balance and assist in minimizing spinal anomalies
